Employment Specialist/Job Coach - Lenoir

About the role

The Employment Specialist/Job Coach is responsible for providing support to individuals seeking employment, helping them identify job opportunities, and assisting in the job search process.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in identifying their strengths and interests to match them with appropriate job opportunities.
• Provide guidance and resources to help clients prepare for interviews and job applications.
• Help clients navigate the job market and understand employment laws and regulations.
• Maintain regular contact with clients to monitor progress and adjust support strategies as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in employment services or related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Skills

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of employment law and best practices in job placement.

Pay

$25.00 per hour.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
