Employment Specialist (Full-Time)

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 12 states. We are now hiring a Full-time Employment Specialist in Manhattan, NY to coach persons with developmental disabilities and prepare them for employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide the necessary assistance for people with disabilities to be placed in competitive employment.
• Coach the person with disabilities to develop independent job skills.
• Work side-by-side with persons with disabilities at job sites.
• Accurately complete all documentation.
• Reinforce essential skills, or teach new skills such as developing a resume, conducting a successful job interview, and completing a job application.
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities.
• A valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
