About the role
Responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and pre-screening candidates for open positions, ensuring a positive candidate experience and meeting departmental staffing needs. The Employment Recruiter forwards all qualified internal and external candidates to hiring Managers/Directors. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Practice, support, and promote Station Casinos’ “We Win Hearts” Company-wide culture and demonstrate Championship Service Standards at all times.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand departmental needs, job requirements, and ideal candidate profiles.
- Understand the entire employment process and all relevant employment laws.
- Forward all qualified internal and external candidates to hiring Managers/Directors.
- Build relationships with Managers/Directors and communicate daily regarding open positions and status of internal and external applications.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent, including utilizing online job boards, social media, and professional networks.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for a variety of roles, from entry-level to management positions, within casino and resort operations.
- Use the computer system for the employment process and update all information as necessary.
- Post internal and external job openings using the ATS.
- Report a weekly status of applications sent, as well as goals and objectives for each week.
- Participate in job fairs, community outreach events, and other recruitment activities as needed.
- Provide a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Assist in developing and improving recruitment processes and employer branding initiatives.
- Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition.
Requirements
- 1-2+ years of experience in recruitment, preferably within the hospitality, gaming, or entertainment industry.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate and conduct group presentations/sessions, as needed.
- Ability to make progress on multiple tasks under time constraints, with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Strong interviewing and assessment skills.
- Proven ability to source and attract qualified candidates using various recruitment tools and strategies.
- Proficiency with ATS and other computer systems, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to travel between properties on a regular basis, as needed.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
