Employment Program Manager (part-time)

About the role

The Employment Program Manager oversees and grows RISE Services' employment programs throughout Delaware. This is a unique opportunity for a self-starter who wants to build, strengthen, and take ownership of a developing program.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an active caseload and ensure approximately 75% of weekly work hours are billable
  • Provide direct, in-person supported employment and vocational services in accordance with applicable program requirements
  • Avoid client coverage during staff shortages, call-outs, vacancies, or other service gaps
  • Attend meetings involving clients, families, employers, referral partners, and funding agencies
  • Develop relationships with employers and identify competitive, integrated employment opportunities
  • Supervise Delaware Employment Specialists
  • Support the onboarding and training of new Employment Specialists
  • Monitor the needs of the Delaware service area and recommend strategies for program growth
  • Identify service gaps, operational concerns, and barriers to successful employment outcomes
  • Participate in performance evaluations, corrective actions, and performance improvement planning as needed
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, families, employers, staff, referral partners, and community stakeholders
  • Represent RISE Services professionally at meetings, events, job sites, and throughout the community
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support client needs, program operations, and organizational priorities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, social work, counseling, rehabilitation, psychology, education, or a related field, with at least three years of experience in supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, disability services, or a related program
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with at least five years of experience in supported employment, vocational rehabilitation, disability services, or a related program
  • Previous supervisory, team-lead, or staff-mentoring experience is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of supported employment, job development, job coaching, and employment-retention practices
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and hold team members accountable
  • Strong understanding of service documentation, compliance, authorizations, and billable service requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet required deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining reliable communication with off-site leadership
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and web-based documentation or case-management systems
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable personal vehicle, and required automobile insurance
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout Delaware
  • Ability and willingness to transport clients when required. Mileage reimbursement is provided in accordance with company policy
  • Ability to successfully complete all required background checks, screenings, and training
