Employment Practices Risk Consultant (CONTRACT)
Position Information
This is a 2-year contract position that is estimated to be a 2-year assignment. The full salary range for the Employment Practices Risk Consultant is $68,500.00 - $121,900.00 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $95,200.00 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
About the Role
The Employment Practices Risk Consultant provides guidance across human resources strategy, employment law compliance, and Employment Practices Liability (EPL) Insurance risk mitigation to help organizations reduce liability exposure and build a positive, compliant workplace culture. This role aligns policies and practices with business objectives, audits claims, identifies and coordinates training, supports EPL claims and corrective actions.
Requirements
Experience: 4 - 7 years of related experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Master's degree in Employment Law, Business Administration, or Human Resources and/or equivalent experience/training preferred.
Qualifications
Knowledge: Thorough knowledge in risk management, insurance, forecasting and analysis, accounting, common organization-specific computer application programs, organizational processes and procedures, and organization rules and regulations.
Skills: Proven interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, active listening skills, organizational skills, strong skills to develop course materials and deliver content effectively to diverse populations, deep knowledge of California employment laws and HR best practices, practical, business-oriented problem-solving, proactive mindset, ability to manage multiple engagements independently while fostering a positive workplace culture, extensive knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office Suite – Excel, charts, graphs, analytical tools, project management tools, PowerPoint.
