About the role

Join the Workforce Solutions team as an Employment and Human Services Associate and help families achieve stability and self‑sufficiency through the TANF Choices program. You will work directly with participants to assess needs, set employment goals, and develop customized Family Employment Plans that lead to meaningful careers.

Responsibilities

• Assess participants’ needs and identify employment goals.
• Create customized Family Employment Plans.
• Provide hands‑on career coaching, including job‑search support, resume development, and job‑readiness guidance.
• Address barriers by coordinating supportive services such as transportation and child care.
• Partner closely with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission, workforce teams, and community organizations.
• Ensure participants remain engaged, compliant, and on track to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree — or, for each 15 hours of college credit (up to two years), at least six months of experience and transferrable skills may be substituted; alternatively, four years of experience working at Workforce Solutions with a recommendation from a current or most recent supervisor.
• Experience with career management strategies and job‑search processes.
