About the role
Provides vocational services to enhance the employability of individuals with mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders, supporting their recovery through competitive employment in community settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide job development services and ongoing support to individuals seeking or maintaining employment.
- Assist individuals in pursuing education and training opportunities.
- Coordinate assessment and work adjustment activities with the Department of Rehabilitative Services.
- Develop opportunities for supported employment and/or volunteer work.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice, sociology, vocational rehabilitation, counseling, or other approved Human Services degree OR Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner in Virginia.
- One year of clinical experience within the past seven years providing mental health services.
- Must meet Medicaid requirements for Qualified Mental Health Provider.
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Fingerprints, State and FBI criminal record reports, drug test, and central registry (CANIS) report required upon request.

Pay
Annual salary range: $44,825 – $77,617. Includes a 5% increase for Qualified Mental Health Professionals.
