Employment Counsel - Remote

About the role

A nationally recognized labor and employment law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney to join its growing remote practice. This opportunity is open to attorneys located anywhere in the United States and offers the ability to work on sophisticated employment matters while maintaining a strong work-life balance.

This position is ideal for attorneys who enjoy handling employment law matters, advising employers, and managing administrative agency charges, but are looking for a role with a reduced billable requirement of just 1,500 hours annually, no business development expectations, and fully remote flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Manage employment-related matters from inception through resolution.
• Handle administrative agency charges and attorney demand letters.
• Draft persuasive position statements and responses to agency requests.
• Represent employers during settlement discussions, mediations, and related proceedings.
• Advise clients on employment law compliance and workplace issues.
• Collaborate with attorneys across a national platform to provide high-quality legal services.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar license in good standing.
• 6+ years of labor and employment law experience preferred.
• Experience handling employment litigation, administrative charges, or workplace investigations.
• Strong drafting, advocacy, and client communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage deadlines and work independently in a remote environment.
