Responsibilities

  • Provide job exploration counseling using standardized, timed interest and aptitude assessments for education and career guidance.
  • Generate a report summarizing each assessment result.
  • Build and maintain professional and productive relationships with participants, members of their support networks, and funding/referral sources.
  • Provide ongoing communication, solicit input, request satisfaction surveys, and document thorough reports.
  • Develop relationships with current and potential employers to gain knowledge of employment, assessment, and training opportunities for participants.
  • Maintain files according to policy and procedures to meet regulatory standards.
  • Develop, implement, and document individualized service plans for individuals, including skills training, pre-employment training, situational assessments, job development, job coaching, and long-term support for both competitive and supported employment.
  • Assist in marketing activities by submitting stories for social media and newsletters and creating materials.
  • Participate in community activities and/or provider events coordinated by referral agencies.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma and relevant work experience with program development and training working with individuals with disabilities required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related Human Services field preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license, per state law, and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
