Employer Engagement & Outreach Specialist

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct targeted outreach to employers throughout the Treasure Valley to identify transportation challenges and develop customized commute solutions for employees.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, business leaders, community organizations, and regional partners to promote Commuteride programs and transportation options.
  • Analyze employer commute patterns and business needs using employee surveys, GIS mapping, data analytics, and performance measures to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategic outreach plans that support employer engagement, ridership growth, and transportation demand management initiatives.
  • Plan and deliver targeted outreach strategies, presentations, transportation fairs, workshops, campaigns, and educational resources to support ridership growth and employer engagement.
  • Create and distribute tailored educational materials, commute resources, and employer engagement tools that encourage participation in transportation benefit programs.
  • Track, evaluate, and report outreach activities, employer engagement efforts, and program outcomes to measure effectiveness and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Represent Commuteride in business, community, and regional forums, serving as a subject matter resource on employer commute programs and transportation demand management strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal staff and regional partners to align employer outreach efforts with vanpool formation opportunities, transportation planning initiatives, and program goals.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in public relations, marketing or transportation; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, abilities and experience.
  • Good Knowledge of computer software and operation in support of graphic design and database software; customer relations management platforms, public outreach programs and initiatives, Transportation Demand Management strategies, employer based smart transportation policies, benefits and programs; stakeholder facilitation and business engagement techniques.
  • Some knowledge of basic transportation planning practices; marketing principles; project coordination, local geography and commute patterns, office management techniques.
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with businesses, employees and the public to accomplish goals and objectives, prepare effective promotional and educational materials, be comfortable and confident in public speaking before various types and sizes of groups, communicate effectively by phone, in person and in writing.
