About the Role
This position is responsible for ensuring safe and timely transportation for company personnel between designated locations. With a strong emphasis on passenger comfort and security, this role requires a commitment to upholding all traffic regulations and performing daily vehicle inspections. A valid CDL Class B with passenger endorsement is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform a daily pre/post-trip inspection on the assigned vehicle
- Complete level 1 maintenance on the vehicle, such as replenishing oil, windshield wiper fluid, and fuel when needed
- Obey posted speed limits and arrive at shuttle collection points prior to scheduled departure times
- Manage passenger behavior to ensure safety and protect Crystal Mountain property
- Adhere to passenger and load capacity for each shuttle vehicle
- Transport passengers to and from predetermined pick-up and drop-off locations
- Ensure all passengers disembark safely with their personal belongings before departing
- Communicate with supervisors regarding departure times and schedules
- Attend required safety meetings and training
- Report general or driver-related incidents to your supervisor
- Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to your supervisor
Requirements
- Valid Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement
- Experience driving in snow, ice, and extreme weather conditions
- Organized, punctual, and reliable with a positive attitude
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to enter and exit the shuttle multiple times a day in various weather conditions
Skills
- Strong ability to drive in all types of weather conditions
- Ability to remove or shovel snow off the vehicle
- Conduct level 1 maintenance on a vehicle, such as adding air to tires, topping off oil or fuel, and replacing tire chains in various weather conditions
- Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work extended periods sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis
- Ability to work extended periods standing, walking, kneeling, pushing, and pulling occasionally
Pay
$28 - $30 per hour (DOE)
Schedule
- Full or part-time seasonal, non-exempt
- May require working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays while in operation
