About the role

Responsible for providing consultative, coaching and mentoring support to managers and employees, conducting investigations, resolving issues, concerns, and grievances, and guiding management in handling employee relations according to legal requirements and Allianz Life core values to ensure a safe, healthy and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist managers and employees with employee relations issues and questions.
  • Research issues regarding employee relations matters such as harassment, discrimination and Ethics Hotline claims.
  • Provide comprehensive employee relations support to managers and employees by having a thorough understanding of legal regulations, HR policies and procedures, and Allianz Life core values, educating and counseling to ensure fair treatment of staff and compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Advise HR partners, managers, and employees on issues that are often not covered by standard policy or procedure.
  • Provide guidance and coach managers on management and employee relation issues, such as providing effective feedback, addressing performance and employee relations issues, creating performance improvement plans, career development, etc.
  • Advise managers concerning issues that have legal ramifications such as harassment complaints and complex involuntary terminations.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the business to identify critical success factors related to employee relations issues.
  • Provide HR leadership with analysis on results and trends in the areas related to employee relations such as turnover, retention, career development, etc.
  • Design methodology to assess impact of employee relations interventions at individual, BU/Division, and/or organizational level.
  • Respond to management inquiries regarding the effectiveness of employee relations resolutions and develop plans to ensure customer expectations are met.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in HR with Employee Relations experience required.
  • Four year degree required or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.

Skills

  • Knowledge of legal regulations, HR policies and procedures, and Allianz Life core values.
  • Ability to conduct investigations, resolve issues, concerns, and grievances.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to advise on and coach managers on various employee relations issues.
  • Experience in designing and implementing HR policies and procedures.

Pay

Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive program. If you are hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees.

Schedule

This role is full-time.
