A Day in the Life of an Employee Health RN

  • Serve as the go-to resource for employee health, wellness, occupational safety, and workers' compensation
  • Guide employees and leaders through health programs, injury management, and regulatory requirements
  • Navigate sensitive situations, interpret compliance standards, and juggle competing priorities while maintaining a calm, confident presence
  • Collaborate with leadership, Human Resources, Infection Prevention, medical staff, and external partners
  • Support infection prevention efforts when coverage or operational needs arise

  • Strong ability to research and understand healthcare regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Clinical nursing judgment with the ability to apply it in complex situations

Qualifications

  • Education and Experience Required:
    • Associate of Science in Nursing
    • Five (5) years of clinical nursing experience
    • One (1) year of experience in infection prevention and control and/or employee/occupational health nursing
    • Current Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • PREFERRED:
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing
    • Experience with workers' compensation administration, wellness programming, epidemiology, community health, occupational health, or safety
    • Acute care experience

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range listed above is the estimated starting pay range for this role. Actual pay rate offered depends on many factors including each individual employee's experience level, preferred education/certifications, along with market conditions.
