Employee Health LPN

About the role

The Employee Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Columbia Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Astoria, OR, works under the direction of the Employee Health RN. They assist with immunization programs, evaluate and follow-up on employee illnesses and work-related injuries, and support quality and performance improvement activities.

Responsibilities

• Aid in the development and implementation of performance improvement projects.
• Extract clinical information from electronic medical records related to Infection Prevention.
• Work independently with guidance, exercise creativity, and prioritize scheduling of work.
• Maintain strict confidentiality.

Requirements

• Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Oregon.
• Current BLS certification through American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of and ability to extract clinical information from electronic medical records related to Infection Prevention.
• Ability to read and extract meaning from state and federal regulations.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Physical demands include sitting, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying/lifting up to 20 lbs.
• May require significant walking between buildings/campuses and extended periods of sitting.
• Requires visual acuity and depth perception and hand/finger dexterity for computer keyboard and general office equipment use.
• May require travel between associated clinics and off-site departments.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school for Licensed Practical Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience preferred.

Skills

• Excel database usage.
• Ability to assist the EH RN with performance improvement projects.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Pay

The starting wage range for this position is $30.72 to $45.38 per hour, dependent on experience.

Schedule

This role is full-time, working days.
