About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Producer to drive new business development, expand existing relationships, and contribute to the continued growth and profitability of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Profit Center and Sales Leadership to develop and execute strategic growth plans aligned to business objectives
  • Actively prospect and generate new business opportunities through calls, networking, referrals, and relationship-building initiatives
  • Build, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline using CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Deliver consultative recommendations by analyzing client needs, designing solutions, and positioning coverage strategies
  • Lead client-facing engagements, including stewardship meetings, renewals, and long-term planning discussions
  • Collaborate with Account Management, Marketing, and service teams to ensure seamless execution and client experience
  • Develop strong relationships with key clients, prospects, and centers of influence
  • Stay current on market trends, product offerings, and industry changes to deliver informed guidance
  • Contribute to the development of junior producers, mentoring and supporting growth as needed
  • Represent Brown & Brown within the community through networking, industry involvement, and professional organizations

Requirements

  • Proven success in Employee Benefits sales and business development within the insurance industry
  • Strong book-building mindset with a track record of generating and closing new business
  • Ability to operate in a consultative, client-facing role with executive-level decision makers
  • Experience using CRM systems to track activity and manage pipeline
  • Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and ability to influence outcomes
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience
