Position Overview
This position manages a complex book of employee benefits business and acts as the primary service contact. The account executive offers a strategic and consultative approach to employee benefits account management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manages a complex book of business with varying funding mechanisms, advanced contract features and structures, requiring experience and technical knowledge.
- Primary contact between clients and carriers with goals of client retention and growth.
- Regularly communicates with clients and carrier partners (at least quarterly).
- Drives renewal process and can lead client meetings regarding renewals and utilization review.
- Introduces new products and promotes them through regular visits and frequent communication with intermediaries.
- Increases profitability of existing product lines by encouraging clients to use added value services wherever possible.
- Ensures credibility with clients by maintaining detailed knowledge of current market conditions and competitors’ products and acts as technical expert.
- Maintains documentation in accordance with HIPAA and company procedures, including keeping agency management system updated in a timely manner.
- Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
Minimum Level of Education and Experience
- BA or BS
- 3 years of job related experience
