Emory Healthcare Spiritual Health Resident Fall 2026
Description
- Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team in providing spiritual care to patients and families.
- Participates in continuous collaboration with educator, team members and other health care professionals to promote environment of care, healing and professional development.
- Learns by participating in reflection groups, individual consultation and didactics totaling at least 100 hours per unit.
- Is responsible for leading worship services as required at each site.
- Understands and complies with Spiritual Health and CPE policies, and applicable Emory Healthcare policies.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education in a program credentialed by ACPE.
- MDiv or other Master's degree in theology or minimum education needed for board eligibility by Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or its strategic partners (NAJC, NACC, CASC/ACSS).
Preferred Qualifications
- Ordination, license or endorsement by an acknowledged ecclesiastical body or specialized spiritual/philosophical/religious group preferred.
Physical Requirements
- 20-50 lbs; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally)
- 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently)
- 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly)
- Lifting 50 lbs max
- Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs
