About the role
The EMOC Coordinator staffs the 24/7/365 EMOC Command Center and is responsible for continuous monitoring of campus-wide BAS/EMS networks, HVAC systems, and devices. They also provide coordination and support of any campus HAVC system or infrastructure event emergencies involving Facilities Management.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the operation of building MEP and Utility functions through the centralized Building Automation System.
- Review and respond to system alarms by coordinating appropriate field support.
- Respond to any campus situation or emergency by contacting appropriate management team members and coordinating support and response activities.
- Receive off-hour customer calls placed to Facilities Management and respond accordingly by coordinating and dispatching FM staff.
- Perform AFDD diagnostic checks, implement BAS/EMS program edits and updates, review system sequences, and provide efficiency improvement strategies to management.
- Create custom BAS graphic pages and provide MEP and BAS technical support as needed to FM staff, vendors, and contractors.
Requirements
- Unsupervised work with job duties including monitoring the operation of building MEP and Utility function through the centralized Building Automation System.
- Proficient at BAS network communication configuration (including BACnet, MODBUS, LON, ARC156), interpreting and writing ATC Sequence of Operation, creating and updating equipment Graphical User Interface pages, and the use of Automated Fault Detection and Diagnostic/Monitored Based Commissioning software platforms.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and thorough knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office tools to effectively submit and track work orders.
- Ability to be mobile around campus, able to lift 50 pounds, crawl into confined spaces (including manholes and utility tunnels), maneuver in and around tight areas, climb ladders and work from heights, and the ability to lift equipment and supplies.
- Alternate shift work.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience.
Skills
- BAS network communication configuration (BACnet, MODBUS, LON, ARC156).
