About the role

PROtect LLC is seeking an experienced LDAR Technician to join our team. This role involves monitoring and ensuring compliance at industrial sites, from identifying leaks to supporting plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Field Monitoring & Compliance: Monitor valves, pumps, and components using EPA Method 21 and site protocols.
  • Run Assigned Routes: Ensure all components are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Identify, Tag, and Track Leaks: Tag and track leaks for repair and re-monitoring.
  • Maintain Precise Documentation: Document findings to support compliance and reporting.
  • Equipment & Technical Work: Calibrate and troubleshoot handheld analyzers, ensuring equipment functions at peak performance.
  • Site Communication & Impact: Work closely with plant teams, communicate findings, and identify opportunities to improve compliance and efficiency.
  • Safety & Team Contribution: Follow safety protocols, report incidents, and support teammates.

Requirements

  • 6+ Months of LDAR or Similar Experience
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude and Problem-Solving Skills
  • Ability to Work Safely in Physically Demanding Environments
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Basic Computer Skills (Excel, handheld devices, data entry)
  • Valid Driver’s License and Reliable Transportation

Preferred Experience

  • 2+ Years of LDAR Experience
  • Experience with TVA 2020 (MIC-6 & manual calibrations)
  • Familiarity with BWON, AVO, QQQ reporting, or OGI/IR camera tech
  • Refinery or Chemical Plant Experience
  • Reading P&IDs or Understanding Emissions Systems
