Role overview
We are seeking an Eminent Domain & Condemnation Attorney to join a growing team serving cities, counties, and public authorities across the state.
Responsibilities
- Represent local government entities in condemnation and eminent domain matters including right-of-way acquisition, road widening, and public infrastructure projects
- Handle matters from pre-litigation negotiation through trial as needed
- Advise government clients on property valuation, just compensation, and condemnation procedures under Georgia law
- Work alongside experienced government law attorneys on complex matters governed by local, state, and federal law
- Serve a recession-resistant client base with consistent workflow across economic cycles
Qualifications
- 0 to 7 years of condemnation, eminent domain, or real estate litigation experience
- Active and good standing Georgia bar license required
- Strong academic background and written communication skills
- Stable work history preferred
- Local government law experience a plus but not required
Compensation and benefits
- Salary range $100,000 to $170,000 depending on experience and background
- Choice of monthly or annual bonus structure based on billable hours, not collections or write-offs
- 1,920 annual billable hour requirement with unlimited PTO
- 100% employer-paid employee health insurance
- 401(k) with immediate eligibility and 3% firm contribution on total annual earnings including bonuses
- Hybrid schedule available after 90 days with 2 remote days per week
