Emerging Tech SETA, TS/SCI
About the role
Emerging Tech SETA, TS/SCI is seeking a highly skilled scientist or engineer with extensive experience in advanced science and engineering R&D. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline, 10+ years of experience, and a strong track record in evaluating emerging technologies and conducting independent technical assessments.
Responsibilities
- Evaluating emerging technology and conducting independent technical assessments
- Working with multidisciplinary teams across government, industry, and academia
- Communicating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced R&D environment
- Authoring technical publications, strategic assessments, or executive-level decision support products
- Supporting source selection, BAAs, or proposal evaluation
- Supporting advanced manufacturing, materials development, chemistry, biotechnology, novel formulations, or related emerging technology areas
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- PhD in chemistry, materials science, physics, biology, chemical engineering, biotechnology, biochemistry, or a related scientific or engineering discipline
- 10+ years experience conducting, supporting, or evaluating advanced science and engineering R&D
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Previous DARPA R&D experience
- Previous SETA experience supporting advanced technology development programs
- Experience supporting source selection, BAAs, or proposal evaluation
- Experience authoring technical publications, strategic assessments, or executive level decision support products
- Experience supporting advanced manufacturing, materials development, chemistry, biotechnology, novel formulations, or related emerging technology areas
Benefits
Blue Sky Innovators, Inc. offers a competitive hourly range for this position, starting at $70/hr and going up to $120/hr, based on experience, education, skills, and knowledge. The role is primarily onsite with telework flexibility.
