Emerging Store Manager

About the role

Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on overall operations. Assists the Store Manager with store operations to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

• Manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline.
• Engages customers and resolves complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Supports external partnerships and drives community outreach opportunities.
• Safeguards store assets, monitors inventory, and ensures compliance with company policies.
• Ensures store cleanliness and responds to emergencies.
• Trains and coaches team members on technology systems and inventory procedures.
• Communicates with team members and supports the Pharmacy during busy periods.
• Analyzes financial data and collaborates with the Store Manager to improve store performance.
• Manages team member performance and development, including discipline and termination.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and regulations, including alcohol and tobacco sales.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Full-time position. Must be fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico), willing to work flexible schedules including weekends, and able to relocate if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Completion of Walgreens Community Internship Program or two years of supervisory experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and business acumen skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a team.
• Valid pharmacy technician license (if required).

Pay

$45,000 - $71,550 annually.
