Emerging Store Manager

About the role

Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on overall operations. Supports the Store Manager with store operations to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

• Manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline.
• Engages customers and resolves complaints.
• Monitors customer service, provides coaching, and develops plans for improvements.
• Safeguards store assets and ensures proper merchandising.
• Ensures proper cash management, inventory control, and adherence to security protocols.
• Manages store operations, including scheduling, inventory, and compliance with company policies.
• Supports pharmacy operations during busy periods.
• Trains and coaches team members.
• Ensures store cleanliness and responds to emergencies.
• Communicates with team members and supports the Store Manager in strategic planning.
• Manages performance and discipline of direct reports.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
• Independently analyzes financial and performance data.
• Collaborates with Store Manager to identify sales opportunities and growth strategies.
• Provides pharmacy support during busy periods.

Requirements

Full-time position. Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings. Must be fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or satisfactory completion of Walgreens Community Internship Program.
• Two years of supervisory experience (for those without a bachelor’s degree).
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including business ethics, self-motivation, and strong communication and business acumen.
• Completion of Store Manager training program (LEAP) or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials training.
• Valid pharmacy technician license (if required by state).

Pay

$45,000 - $71,550 annually.

Schedule

Flexible schedule including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
