Emerging Store Manager

About the role

Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on overall operations. Assists the Store Manager with store operations to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

• Manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline.
• Engages customers and resolves complaints, ensuring a positive customer experience.
• Supports external partnerships and drives community outreach opportunities.
• Safeguards store assets, monitors inventory, and manages cash transactions.
• Ensures store cleanliness and maintenance, and responds to emergencies.
• Trains and coaches team members, and provides feedback to enhance performance.
• Communicates with team members and supports the Store Manager in planning and communicating the company and store strategy.
• Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with a solid academic record, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, including professional business ethics, self-motivation, and strong communication skills.
• Completion of Store Manager training program (LEAP) or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials training.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
• Fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Ability to transfer to other Walgreens retail assets within the same hiring area.
