Emerging Store Manager

About the role

Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on overall operations. Supports the Store Manager with store operations to achieve company goals.

Responsibilities

• Manages store team members, including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline.
• Engages customers and resolves complaints to ensure a positive experience.
• Monitors and coaches team members to improve customer service and sales.
• Safeguards store assets and ensures proper merchandising.
• Ensures store cleanliness and responds to emergencies.
• Trains and manages team members in computer and technology systems.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and laws.
• Supports pharmacy operations during busy periods.
• Manages store operations, including financial data analysis and performance improvement plans.
• Trains and mentors team members for career development.
• Communicates with team members and actively addresses concerns.
• Completes required learning and development courses.

Requirements

Full-time position. Must be fluent in English and willing to work flexible schedules, including weekends and evenings. Must have a valid pharmacy technician license (if required by state).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or satisfactory completion of Walgreens Community Internship Program.
• Two years of supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including business ethics, self-motivation, and strong communication and business acumen.
• Completion of Store Manager training program (LEAP) or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials training.

Pay

$45,000 - $71,550 annually, depending on qualifications and location.

Schedule

Flexible schedule, including extended days, evenings, and weekends.
