Snapshot of the Role
As an Emergency team member, you will support the Emergency doctor teams by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Our Emergency and Critical Care Technicians thrive in a fast-paced service, handle critical cases, and enjoy the stimulating caseload. Our Technicians have the opportunity to sharpen and advance their technical skills every day.
- Triage and prioritize incoming emergency cases
- Cook up ER flow by assigning clinicians and ensuring timely patient care
- Provide high-quality nursing care and monitor critically ill or injured patients
- Place IV catheters, perform diagnostic testing, and administer treatments
- Assist in and monitor anesthesia for emergency procedures; manage patient recovery
- Communicate clearly with clients about patient status and discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records, enter charges, and complete treatment sheets
- Collaborate with CSRs and team members to ensure a smooth client experience
- Maintain cleanliness, follow infection control protocols, and ensure proper patient restraint
- Participate in continuing education and ongoing professional development

Qualifications
- Must be a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), or Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)
- Eligible to transfer current license to the state or obtain state credentialing within 3 months of hire

Pay
Compensation: $25 - 30/hr and pay starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available. We also offer a shift differential to all hourly associates who work within a specific timeframe.
