About the role

As an Associate Veterinarian at VCA, you will utilize your medical expertise, combined with empathy and confidence, to establish a loyal client base and provide compassionate care to pets.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat a variety of animal health conditions
• Perform surgeries and other advanced procedures under the supervision of a licensed veterinarian
• Provide pre- and post-operative care to patients
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients
• Collaborate with a team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff

Requirements

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited school
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the state of employment
• Experience in small animal medicine and surgery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Passing scores on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE)
• Completion of a residency program in small animal medicine and/or surgery (optional but preferred)

Pay

The pay range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with rotating weekend shifts as needed.
