Emergency Veterinarian (Part Time) - Gaithersburg, MD

About the role

What you'll do

• Answer medical questions over the phone
• See patients right away as part of the VEG Triage and VEG Spikes
• Gather signalment, presenting complaint, vitals, and physical exam
• Conduct physical examinations and other required investigative measures
• Complete a diagnosis and create a diagnostic and therapeutic plan
• Communicate diagnosis and treatment options to customers
• Create and review medical records for accuracy
• Perform minor and major emergency surgeries
• Perform endoscopic procedures
• Provide education on aftercare and preventative measures
