About the Clinic
Knoxville Pet Emergency Clinic is an overnight and weekend emergency clinic offering the gold standard in medical and surgical care. Our diagnostic equipment includes an in-house laboratory, digital radiography, endoscopy, and ultrasound. Most importantly, we have phenomenal and experienced support staff who are crucial to the success of patient and client care. Our doctors perform a variety of advanced soft tissue surgeries and have willingness to learn new surgeries and techniques. We have a Medical Director mentoring and an after-hours resource if needed, flexibility with scheduling which allows for work life balance, ability to come up with an individualized patient treatment plan with the owners.
Clinic Location
We are located just outside of downtown Knoxville off I40W. This makes Knoxville Pet Emergency Clinic a breeze to get to. Be at Gatlinburg or the Great Smokey Mountains in less than 2 hours, or if you like college football, the Vols play every Saturday in fall. Knoxville is a growing town that is filled with excellent schools and parks. The Veterinary Community in Knoxville is filled with associations, and The University of Tennessee CVM is right down the road and offers unlimited CE events!
About the role
All experience levels are welcome to apply. Our clinic would provide an excellent environment for ER veterinarians interested in practicing the highest level of medicine and surgery.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced soft tissue surgeries and learn new surgeries and techniques
- Develop individualized patient treatment plans with owners
- Work in a fast-paced emergency setting
- Occasional overnight and weekend shifts
Requirements
- Licensed Tennessee Veterinarian – active and in good standing
- General surgical experience or willingness to learn preferred
