Care Center is seeking veterinarians passionate about emergency medicine for their 6-9 month training and mentorship program. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable.
Program Details
- Built around a curriculum of core competencies essential for an emergency veterinarian
- Incorporates simulation-based didactic components into authentic training experiences with live patients
- Curriculum designed using an evidence-based strategy identifying essential skills for a successful career in emergency medicine
Application Information
Applications accepted year-round; recommended to submit by November 1st for best chance. Work authorization in the United States is required. Position not eligible for visa sponsorship, but TN status candidates may be considered.
Program Duration/Commitment
- 6-month training program beginning June/July 2027
- 1-year commitment as an ER clinician following training

Program Highlights
- 5-day work week consisting of 4 clinical days, 1 didactic day, and 2 days off each week
- Rotates with other specialty services during the training program: Emergency, Critical Care, Cardiology, Integrative Medicine, Oncology, Medical Oncology, Surgery, and Radiology
- Surgical training always works with a dedicated mentor on shifts
- Excellent post-training schedule: 3-day work week, no more than 3 shifts in a row, always 2 days off between working
- Competency-based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds
- Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors
- Emergency Mentee Salary: $100,000.00
