Emergency Veterinarian - Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship Program

Ethos Veterinary Health · Grand Rapids, MI · 1 mo ago
Volunteer

Mentorship-first approach

The program begins with a mentorship-first approach, where you are paired with a dedicated doctor who supports you through your clinical cases for the first 8–10 weeks. You will then be matched with a primary mentor who provides guidance both during and outside of clinical shifts throughout the year.

Exposure to specialties

Mentees rotate through each specialty service to gain well-rounded knowledge and build collaborative relationships. This exposure includes hands-on clinical training, didactic learning, and regular virtual rounds with other Ethos mentees.

Hands-on clinical training

You will manage real cases with direct supervision, supported by a collegial team committed to best patient outcomes. This training is complemented by VetBloom training modules to strengthen medical knowledge and decision-making.

Didactic learning

  • Monthly virtual rounds with other Ethos mentees
  • VetBloom training modules

Balanced scheduling

Doctors average 13 shifts per month, fewer than many emergency hospitals, allowing for both professional growth and work-life balance.
