About the role
The Emergency Veterinarian - Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship Program at Valley Veterinary Emergency & Referral Center (VVERC) is seeking veterinarians passionate about emergency medicine. The program offers a 6-month training and mentorship opportunity leading to a full-time position as an ER clinician at VVERC.
Responsibilities
- Rotate with specialty services during the training program
- Surgical training optional
- Work with a dedicated mentor on shifts
- No on-call schedule
- Follow a competency-based curriculum including asynchronous learning and live virtual didactic rounds
- Participate in regular live continuing education events
Requirements
- Passionate about emergency medicine
- Team-oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable
- Home Hospital: Valley Veterinary Emergency & Referral Center, Winchester, VA
- Training Hospital: Dogs & Cats Emergency & Specialty, Bowie, MD
- 18-month commitment as an ER clinician following training
- Work authorization in the United States required
Qualifications
- Completed veterinary school
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the United States
- Experience in emergency medicine preferred
