About the role
IndyVet Emergency & Specialty Hospital is seeking veterinarians passionate about emergency medicine for their 8-month training and mentorship program. Ideal candidates are team-oriented, driven, reflective, and reliable.
Responsibilities
- 50% working on ER floor, 50% didactic training (lectures, vetbloom, self-study)
- Rotations through Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, and Neurology
- Working as swing doctor 2pm-2am
- Working paired with an overnight doctor 6pm-6am
Requirements
Applications are accepted year-round; however, mentorship positions are limited. To maximize your chances of securing a placement, we recommend submitting your application by November 1st. Work authorization in the United States is required for the position.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine
- Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the United States
- Experience in emergency medicine preferred

Training schedule varies based on rotation and shift assignments.
Program Highlights
- Paired with an experienced Emergency Veterinarian or Criticalist

- Competency-based curriculum that includes asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds
