Emergency Veterinarian - Ethos ER Immerse Mentorship Program - 2026

2026 Clarksville Veterinary Emergency & Specialty is seeking veterinarians passionate about working in emergency medicine for a 9-12 month training and mentorship program. Successful candidates will transition into an ER position at our hospital post-mentorship.

About the role

Since opening in April 2020, we have grown into a leading hospital respected for delivering cutting-edge Emergency, Internal Medicine, and Surgery services to the pets and families of Clarksville and neighboring regions. Our ER Department collaborates with onsite specialists in Surgery and Internal Medicine, as well as with specialists at our sister location in Nashville, enabling a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

Our 8,500 square-foot facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including on-site CT, digital radiography, ultrasound, echocardiography, laparoscopy, endoscopy, cystoscopy, and electrodiagnostics. We are committed to environmental sustainability and actively support our community through volunteer initiatives.

About the program

The ER Immerse Program prepares veterinarians for a sustainable and satisfying career in emergency medicine. Unlike traditional rotating internships, this program focuses on core competencies essential for emergency veterinarians, including clinical knowledge, client and team communication, professional skills, and work-life integration.

The program uses a hybrid training approach, combining simulation-based didactic components with authentic training experiences using live patients. The curriculum is evidence-based, identifying competencies and skills critical for a successful career as an emergency clinician.

• 9-12 month training program with rolling start dates in 2026
• 1-year commitment as an ER clinician at CVES post-training
• Rotate with other specialty services during training

• Always work with a dedicated mentor on shifts
• No on-call requirements
• Competency-based curriculum with asynchronous learning on Vetbloom and weekly live virtual didactic rounds
• Regular live continuing education events led by specialists and experienced emergency doctors

Work authorization in the United States is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship, but candidates eligible for TN status may be considered.
