About the role

The Emergency Department Technician is a member of the patient care team who performs a variety of tasks and activities to meet patient and department needs consistent with the scope of practice for an unlicensed practitioner. This position is Per Diem and will work 12-hour Variable shifts.

The Emergency Department Technician must manage multiple demands on their time to support the activity of the nursing staff, facilitate the timely flow of patients through the department, and assist with stocking to ensure that the department is ready to receive and treat patients at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of tasks and activities to meet patient and department needs.

  • Assist with stocking to ensure department readiness.

Requirements

  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association (upon hire).
  • Experience in a health care setting performing direct patient care.

Qualifications

  • Nursing student or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) (preferred).
  • Military medical, EMS, or Emergency Department experience (preferred).

Pay

The pay range for this position is $25.43 - $32.52 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.

Schedule

Per Diem, 12-hour Variable shifts.
