Emergency Technician Assistant

About the role

The ideal candidate will have experience in veterinary medicine and a passion for providing high-quality care to animals.

Responsibilities

• Tailor treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
• Perform surgeries, including but not limited to spays, neuters, and orthopedic procedures
• Administer medications and monitor patient recovery
• Conduct diagnostic tests such as blood work and radiographs
• Provide emergency care as needed
• Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA accredited program
• Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the state of North Carolina
• At least 2 years of clinical experience in a veterinary hospital setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems
• Experience with anesthesia and surgical techniques
• Knowledge of pharmacology and pharmacokinetics
