About the role

Join our team in our 14-bed Emergency Department with a 5:1 ratio. Our diverse staff includes RNs, CNAs, Paramedics, Secretaries, and Providers, creating a collaborative environment to deliver exceptional care.

Responsibilities

  • Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possibly taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
  • Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
  • Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
  • Aids in keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.

Requirements

  • A current listing as EMT or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with the state of North Carolina Division of Facility Services.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Absent any substantiated findings of abuse, neglect or misappropriation of property in a facility that provides Nursing Care.
  • A Graduated from an approved EMT Paramedic or EMT Intermediate program preferred.
  • A Current Listing as a Certified Nursing Assistant with the state of North Carolina Division of Facility Services with no substantiated findings of abuse, neglect or misappropriation of property in a facility that provides Nursing Care.

Qualifications

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Skills

  • Basic patient care activities.
  • Personal care and activities of daily living.

  • Room and area cleaning and organization.
