Emergency Services Technician (EMT) - ER

About the Role

Centerpoint Health - Georgetown is seeking a full-time Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) for night shifts (3 x 12-hour shifts). This role involves responding to emergency calls and providing immediate medical care and life support to patients in pre-hospital settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition, vital signs, and medical history to determine appropriate treatment
• Administer basic life support (BLS), including CPR, oxygen therapy, bleeding control, and use of AEDs
• Safely transport patients to medical facilities while monitoring and documenting their condition
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, medical personnel, and patients, and complete accurate patient care reports

Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent)
• Completion of a state-approved EMT training program
• Current EMT certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
• Handle with Care required within 7 days of hire

Qualifications

• Nursing Assistant Certificate (SRNA/CNA) preferred
