Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care to newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients under the supervision and delegation of a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrates effective and professional communication with patients, visitors, EMS personnel, and hospital staff.
- Maintains responsibility and accountability for the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of unit equipment and supplies.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Previous patient care experience in an Emergency environment and/or with children strongly preferred.
- Active, working knowledge of the Credentialing Competencies required for Emergency Services Technicians.
- Professional behavior consistently demonstrated in both appearance and conduct.
Skills
- Basic medical terminology.
- Computer familiarity.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
