Emergency Services Technician

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care to newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients under the supervision and delegation of a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrates effective and professional communication with patients, visitors, EMS personnel, and hospital staff.
• Maintains responsibility and accountability for the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of unit equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous patient care experience in an Emergency environment and/or with children strongly preferred.
• Active, working knowledge of the Credentialing Competencies required for Emergency Services Technicians.
• Professional behavior consistently demonstrated in both appearance and conduct.

Skills

• Basic medical terminology.
• Computer familiarity.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
