EMERGENCY SERVICES PARAMEDIC

About the role

Facility: Dayton Children's - South Campus. Department: Emergency Department - South Campus. Schedule: Full time. Hours: 36.

This job is to replace FT Paramedic Carey Smith with Victor Borrero as she is moving to PT and he is moving to FT. No additional FTEs.

Responsibilities

• Delivers basic patient care
• Provides comfort measures
• Maintains patient care environment
• Reports patient responses to the appropriate licensed staff member
• Functions as a member of the collaborative practice team
• Renders care in accordance with the Ohio Public Safety Rule
• Performs emergency medical services only under the direction and supervision of a physician or registered nurse designated by a physician
• Works only in the hospital's emergency department or while moving a patient between the emergency department and another department

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Paramedic Certification
• Current CPR certification
• Communication and customer service skills
