Emergency Room Technician I (Behavioral Health Focus) - Days/Evenings

Job Summary

Geisinger offers an Emergency Room Technician I position with a $1500 sign-on bonus, a minimum hiring rate of $15.91, and up to $3 shift differentials for evenings, nights, and weekends. Additionally, there's up to $40,000 in financial support to become a nurse.

Job Duties

• Demonstrates strong ability to meet orientation and full-time scheduling requirements.
• Show reliability, punctuality, and strong attendance.
• Communicate effectively and foster collaboration with the care team.
• Perform basic patient care under supervision, triaging patient care, assisting with wound care, splinting, EKGs, rehabilitation, specimen collection, and patient transportation.
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers and manage patient activities.
• Manage non-controlled medications and supplies within the unit.
• Promote a caring and healing environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, certification in Basic Life Support, and experience in a similar role.

Position Details

• Full-time days/weekends/evenings shift (36 hours/week).
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required.
