Emergency Room Tech
About the Role
As an Emergency Room Tech, you will support safe, cost-efficient patient care in the Emergency Department, performing delegated functions from the RN or Physician. You will conduct selected diagnostics and procedures, assist with patient transport and lifting, and provide general clerical and cleaning support to the unit. Your role is critical in executing delegated tasks, supporting unit operations, and contributing to a safe and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing the plan of care by performing common clinical procedures and tasks within scope of practice.
- Demonstrate competency in the delivery of care and clinical techniques.
- Make observations, gather data, and identify patient care needs.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations.
- Assist with patient transport and transfer.
- Support cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to safety and risk management standards.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or GED upon hire.
- Completion of one of the following programs demonstrating requisite job knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program, or
- Medical Assistant program, or
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) program, or
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program, or
- Completion of one year of nursing school.
- One of the following certifications in Washington state upon hire:
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or
- Medical Assistant Certification, or
- Registered Nursing Assistant.
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification upon hire.
- Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist certification in Washington within 6 months of hire.

Pay
$26.01 - $41.81 per hour.
