Job Summary
The Registered Nurse leads the health care team, providing professional nursing care according to established standards, policies, and procedures. The role adheres to Kaiser Permanente’s Vision, Mission, and Strategic Plan.
Essential Responsibilities
Upholds Kaiser Permanente’s Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable state, federal, and local laws.
Serves as a leader of the health care team; delegates tasks appropriately, and demonstrates accountability.

Complies with regulatory requirements, policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
Develops and/or contributes to the individualized plan of care that reflects assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the outcomes of that plan.
Maintains and protects patient confidentiality, ensures a clean, orderly, and functional work environment, and treats all families with courtesy, respect, kindness, and compassion.
Provides an optimal patient care experience by actively listening to the needs of patients and family members and taking responsibility for meeting those needs.
Supports a collaborative Labor-Management Partnership environment through unit-based teams.
Organizes work to minimize the use of overtime, identifies and assists in systems improvement, and utilizes payroll and non-payroll resources to their maximum potential.
Experience
6 (six) months recent (within the last 5 years) full-time equivalent in ED or Critical Care, or successful completion of a KP ED training program or approved equivalent within prior 12 months.

This is an every-other-weekend position. If twelve (12) hour option chosen, shift will be 7:30 pm-8:00 am, back-up 8 hour shift will be 11:30 pm to 8:00 am. Primary Location: California, Harbor City, South Bay Medical Center. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36. Shift: Night. Workdays: Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat. Working Hours Start: 07:30 PM. Working Hours End: 08:00 AM. Job Schedule: Full-time. Job Type: Standard. Worker Location: Onsite. Employee Status: Regular. Employee Group/Union Affiliation: B13|AFSCME|UNAC. Job Level: Individual Contributor. Department: South Bay Med Center - Emergency-Day - 0806. Pay Range: $58.29 - $79.98 / hour.
