About the role

Memorial Hermann Surgical Hospital Kingwood is a fast-paced Surgical Hospital environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. The RN will provide direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. The RN will also provide care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision.

Responsibilities

• Triage safely, rapidly and accurately, every patient that enters the emergency care system
• Determine priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system
• Communicate with Emergency Department physician about changes in patient's status, symptomology and results of diagnostic studies
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment
• During periods of downtime, aid the PSU

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• At least three (2) years of experience as an RN in hospital Medical/Surgery or similar unit
• RN, current in the State of Texas
• BLS, ACLS, PALS
