About the Role

Emergency Room Physicians and Advanced Practice Professionals (APPs) provide comprehensive emergency care to patients presenting with acute and urgent conditions in a fast-paced hospital setting. This full-time, on-site role is located in Denver, CO, and requires active participation in shift-based coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Full-time, part-time, and nocturnist positions are available.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of emergent and critical illnesses and injuries.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Document clinical encounters clearly and accurately.
  • Make timely clinical decisions in high-pressure environments.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • Adhere to evidence-based protocols and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong clinical skills in Emergency Medicine and Emergency Services.
  • Expertise in Medicine and Urgent Care for a broad range of acute presentations.
  • Competency in Critical Care Medicine for the management of high-acuity patients.
  • Current medical license (or eligibility) in Colorado.
  • Appropriate board certification or board eligibility (e.g., Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine) as applicable to Physicians and APPs.
  • Graduation from an accredited medical, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant program; completion of relevant residency or fellowship training preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments.
  • Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in emergency or urgent care settings is highly beneficial.
  • Familiarity with hospital EMR systems and quality improvement initiatives is a plus.
