Emergency Room Nurse
About the Role
As a Registered Nurse, you will coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care tailored to the specific requirements of the department and aligned with state and specialty scope and standards. Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will serve as a patient and family advocate, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management, including reassessments after interventions.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered by medical providers.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating patient needs proactively.
- Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, patient status, treatment plans, medications, and possible side effects using clear, non-technical language.
- Educate patients and families on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as lifestyle changes, healthy diet, exercise, and disease prevention.
- Prepare patients and families for future self-management.
Requirements
- 1+ years of RN experience required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date).
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date).
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date).
