About the Role

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with department-specific requirements and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." The RN serves as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers while modeling the organization's vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical provider(s).
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating patient needs proactively.
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers about the patient’s medical condition, status, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology for complete understanding.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
• Prepare patients and families for future self-management.

Requirements

• 1 year of RN experience required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or PALS Instructor certification must be obtained within 1 year of employment.
