About the role

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care to Emergency Room patients by using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes critical thinking skills and scientific judgment to plan and deliver safe patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Maintains clinical competencies through ongoing education.
• Delegates patient care responsibilities to staff based on their education and experience.
• Provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel.

Requirements

• NM RN License
• NHIS Stroke, SAMA or CPI
• ACLS, BLS, PALS & TNCC certifications
• 13-week assignment with 36-hour guarantee
• Option for 48-hour guarantee
• 3-12 hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required
• Floating is required, though rarely as needed
• Scrubs provided: Royal Blue
• EMR system: Cerner, Mindray
• Telemetry monitoring equipment provided

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience
