About the Role

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the Emergency Department. This role operates under established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage," serving as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers while aligning with the organization’s vision, mission, and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management, including reassessments after interventions.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and anticipating needs proactively.
• Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up measures using clear, non-technical language.
• Educate patients and families on non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as lifestyle changes, disease prevention, and healthy habits.
• Prepare patients and families for future self-management.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Associate Degree in Nursing.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
• 1 year of nursing experience.
