About the role

With over 70 years of experience, our focus is on helping the most vulnerable children overcome poverty and experience fullness of life. We help children of all backgrounds, even in the most dangerous places, inspired by our Christian faith. Come join our 34,000+ staff working in nearly 100 countries and share the joy of transforming vulnerable children’s life stories. Children’s lives can change in an instant in the wake of war, disasters and humanitarian emergencies. We see how vulnerable they are and how much they need our protection. Please note: Applying to our roster is not for immediate employment. Acceptance to our Emergency Response Roster pre-qualifies you to work or deploy with us in future responses. We are seeking passionate and skilled humanitarian professionals who share our Mission, Vision and Core Values as we help children experience life in all its fullness, even during crises.

  • Spearhead external engagement to position the organisation for sustainment and growth, and to influence and promote coordination with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5‑7 years of (mid‑level/senior‑level) experience with International NGOs in emergency relief, rehabilitation and transition programming, especially in fragile contexts.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a field related to humanitarian leadership, international development, business administration, economics, rural development or similar; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in the implementation of multi‑sectoral emergency response projects.
  • Excellent decision‑making skills and ability to take calculated mitigated risks.
  • Experience in leading a multi‑cultural team of professionals.
